Module 2 - Image Coaching for Women

Outline of Image Coaching for Women (Style Analysis) course - This Programme is structured with clearly defined procedures for Consultants to follow allowing them to offer a highly professional 2-hour Consultation - it also enables Consultants to give their clients accurate guidelines on the correct lines, designs, textures and patterns of clothes to wear. Assessment tools include mathematical calculations, personality typing and observational analysis. This course is also suitable for those who wish to develop their skills in Style Coaching, Fashion Styling, Personal shopping and Wardrobe Auditing.

1	Style Personality Assessment - With the use of personality profiling and review of personal taste systems you will learn how to match garments and total looks to each of your clients. This will lead to your deeper understanding of the variables which need to be considered when styling a client in both personal and editorial contexts.

2	Bodyline Analysis - Taking a close look at face and figure types and how they relate to clothing styles, accessories, hairstyles - bodymapping exercises will be carried out in pairs to demonstrate the application of measuring methods.
3	Line and Design Principles - developing your awareness of visual illusion - identifying style lines, fabric weights, textures and prints which balance with figure image, proportions and style personality.

4	Creating a Working Wardrobe - considering lifestyle - using a system for adapting the client's present wardrobe and indicating shopping priorities - theory of investment dressing.

5	Finishing Touches - The Total Package is created by adding those final details. In these sessions you will see how the application of line and design principles to accessories give wonderfully simple but effective principles to help you make the right choices for your clients. You will learn how to implement the 14-point plan for judging the perfectly balanced finished look.

The cost of a standard 2-hour Style Consultation is currently from �65 - �150 (95 Euros to 220 Euros) .

FEES

The training fee is �995 (includes 5 x Style Folios for Case Studies Plus Consultation Stationery & Charts)

Fees cover coaching in practical procedures and instruction on and correction of assignments. Further coaching by telephone or in the studio beyond the scheduled training days can be arranged by appointment at our current daily rate of �300 or half day rate of �150.

These programmes follow International standards of competence and will allow you to seek associate membership of national and international Professional associations.

Course numbers are limited so that you can enjoy the highest level of personal guidance and understanding of techniques used.

Training methods include demonstrations, discussion and practical "hands on" experience.

Head Tutor Profile

The Flying Colours Training Programmes were designed and are delivered by Evelyn Burns who has undertaken in-depth professional training in all aspects of personal and corporate image. Evelyn has worked with colour and style for the past 25 years in fashion design, retail, Image consultancy & makeup artistry.

Since 1988 she has been conducting personal consultations, running corporate workshops and seminars, writing for magazines and broadcasting for radio and television. Evelyn has a Degree in Psychology and English from Queen's University, Belfast and her previous career background includes lecturing in Communication Skills and running her own fashion retail business.

Evelyn has trained in Colour Analysis, Image Design, Corporate Image Development and Advanced Makeup Training with many of the world's leading experts such as Susan Rainey, Donna Fuji, Angi Michael, Barry Berger, and Donna Chevrier. She is continuously updating her skills so that she can give the most up to date training to her students. During 1998-1999 Evelyn was the Project Leader of a special cross-community and cross-border Training Programme which was funded by the Training for Women Network as part of Northern Ireland's Peace & Reconciliation initiative. She was awarded a Certicate of Training Excellence by this body.
